Since its creation, Maison Smalto has closely collaborated with the 7th art. The icon of French Grande Mesure is happy to work on the wardrobes of the greatest actors.

Red Carpet and Ceremonies

Maison Smalto counts more than hundred films to its credit, both French and foreign.

Great  actors have the talent to reveal the splendour of a garment. Among them, Jean-Paul Belmondo, who chose Francesco Smalto as his official tailor, has a special place in the History of the Maison.

Smalto's top talents include Alain Delon, Sean Connery, Jean-Paul Belmondo, Jean Dujardin, Kevin Costner, Roger Moore, Marcello Mastroianni, Lambert Wilson, Helmut Berger, Gérard Depardieu, Jerry Lewis, Vincent Cassel, Michael Madsen and José Garcia.

'For years, everyone thought I only wore jackets with a gun hidden underneath and jeans worn out by dozens of stunts. I have to set the record straight. First of all, I've never carried a gun around, it's not a good look. Secondly, some of my jackets were designed by Francesco Smalto, which puts them in a different category. Our collaboration didn't stop there and I owe him some beautifully cut suits... Italian style. Normal, considering his origins and mine!'

'With a light heart and thin luggage, I was sure to conquer Paris. I had this state-of-the-art blue suit made at the most chic tailor.'
